Dr. med. Ioannis Peros, specialist in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, was born on the Greek island of Kos.

From 1976 to 1984, the current dermatologist studied at the Kapodistrian University in Athens, the capital of Greece, where he graduated in medicine and surgery. In the following two years, from March 1985 to December 1986, he then specialized in dermatology and venereology at the University of Ulm in Germany.

Back in Greece he gained his first experience as a doctor for general medicine in the district hospital on the island of Kos from March 1989 to January 1990. This was followed by a one-year additional training in internal medicine in the city clinic of Aigio.

This was followed by further training in dermatology and aesthetics in Germany, the USA and France. He learned from the world's best professors, from Prof. P. Fournier, the father of liposuction, Prof. L. Field, Prof. W. Coleman III and Prof. P. Lillis. Since then he has led various courses with them in the fields of dermatosurgery and aesthetic medicine.

Dr. med. As a dermatologist, Ioannis Peros has many years of experience with CO2 lasers (ultra pulse, resurfacing, fractional), IPL, diode lasers, alexandrite, Nd Yag, non-ablative laser rejuvenation, lipo-sculpture, lipo-filling (for over 20 years), peels (TCA, Blue, Easy, Phenol, Jessner, Salicylacid, etc.), dermabrasion, platelet chemokine GF treatments, tumor removal and reconstruction, sclerotherapy (combined with laser) and all medical and cosmetic derma-surgical operations.

In 1999, Dr. med. Ioannis Peros successfully completed his doctorate in medical studies at the University of Marburg in Germany.

For nine subsequent years, Dr. Peros continued and specialized in dermatological surgery with Professor Field in the "International Traveling Chair for Dermatology Surgery" (international travel chair for dermatological surgery). At the same time, he continued to specialize in liposuction and lipo transfer with Professor Fournier in Paris (France). In 2005, Dr. Pero's training with Professor Lillis in Lake Loveland, Colorado, USA.

From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Peros as Director of the Dermatological Surgery Teaching Program at the Evangelismos University Hospital in Athens, Greece in the compatriot education program.

Dr. med. Ioannis Peros is an approved mentor (German: academic teacher) from the mentorship program of the American Society for Dermatosurgery (ASDS, the largest organization in the world for dermatosurgery) and the Dermatologic Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL). For these two companies, Dr. med. Ioannis Peros has conducted courses in liposuction and lipofilling in South Africa (Cape Town, Sun City, Durban), Malta, Bucharest, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Buenos Aires and Greece (Athens). Today he receives invitations from societies (such as EADV, COSMODERM, ICD, AMWC) from all over the world to present his work in liposuction and lipofilling at congresses.

Dr. med. Ioannis Peros has an eye for aesthetics. He recognizes what can be optimized in a patient. In his work, his motto is not to overdo it and to achieve a natural result. Because, as the saying goes: "less is more" / "less is more".

Memberships

Dr. med. Ioannis Peros is a mentor on the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery International Mentoring Program (ASDS, see below for more information) and is authorized to teach dermatological surgery courses around the world.

ASDS

Dr. med. Ioannis Peros is a mentor in the International Mentoring Program of ASDS - the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. The American Society for Dermatological Surgery is the largest specialist organization in the United States, exclusively representing dermatological surgeons who are uniquely trained and experienced in treating the health, function and beauty of the skin at every stage of life. ASDS members are recognized as leaders in the field of cosmetic and medically necessary skin surgery. They are also pioneers in this field. Dermatological surgeons are also experts in skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment. As the evidence of skin cancer increases, dermatological surgeons are required to take steps to minimize the life-threatening effects of this disease.

ASDS supports its nearly 6,100 members through educational opportunities, network forums, mentoring programs, public awareness-raising, activities and lobbying (through the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Association).
